CareNZ require an experienced AOD Counsellor or Counsellor for a position within their dedicated team who deliver four, 12 week Drug Treatment Programmes at Arohata Women’s Prison each year.
To be successful in this challenging and rewarding role you will work from a strengths based solutions focused perspective. You will have strong empathy and be skilled in motivational enhancement to support the women to make positive change.
We welcome applications from qualified AOD Counsellors or Counsellors who have a passion for alcohol and drug treatment in a therapeutic community environment and are committed to developing their knowledge and skill base in this important area.
The successful applicant will have;
- a qualification in AOD counselling, counselling
- experience in addictions counselling
- Full DAPAANZ, NZAC registration
An ability to build, develop and sustain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is important. No two days are the same so flexibility and adaptability are also key.
CareNZ offers a competitive remuneration package (including five weeks annual leave) dependant on qualifications, skills and experience.
